Amber Wilson, President, and CEO of the Lompoc Chamber of Commerce since January 2017 (pictured on the left with Earl Murray Jr. and Danielle Honea) delivered a presentation about the city of Lompoc at our club this morning.
The Chamber was founded in 1903 and the Visitors Bureau was created in 1998 to help with tourism in the town.
Amber talked about how the Chamber connects with small businesses to assist with economic growth and development. Businesses have an opportunity to get to know one another through communication at the monthly mixers, luncheons and the programs they offer.
Amber said the Chamber has seven committees: Ambassadors, Hispanic Business, Leadership Lompoc Valley, Military Affairs, Old Town Market, Shop Lompoc Shop Small, and Youth Leadership Lompoc Valley; She mentioned how important connecting with Vandenberg AFB is and having that relationship with them to educate military members on what the city of Lompoc offers. You are invited to share your time and talent by volunteering one of our committees.
She mentioned some new business and upcoming such as Taco Loco, 805 ChopHouse, and Starbucks.
The chamber is always seeking new members to join.
Amber and her staff continue work diligently to improve the city of Lompoc and what the town has to offer residents, tourists, and visitors.
